RULES

All specific game rules can be found via the following link: Rules.

PLAYER FINISH

The number of points a player receives for a given finish within a tournament is equal to the place they finished. Therefore, a player that finished in 18th place, receives 18 points. A player that finishes in 5th, receives 5 points. A player that finishes in 1st, would receive one point and so forth. Any player that doesn't participate receives a last place finish equal to the number of players participating plus one.

The four worst finishes for each player will be dropped starting after the 11th tournament of the season.

The player with the FEWEST points is designated the overall leader in the series standings.

PLAYER RATING (for statistical or tie breaking scenarios)

The player rating has been used in the past to determine seasonal standings. Currently, it is used mainly for lifetime standings and statistics.

The number of points for each tournament is then multiplied by the finish percentage, depending on where a player placed within the event. For example: If an event had 27 players in attendance with a $20 buy-in, the base point total would be 540 points which represents a total prize pool of $540. A player that finishes in first would receive 540 points, winning 100% of the point offering. A player that finishes in second place would receive 95% of 520 points, which amounts to 513 points. A player that finishes in 21st place, would receive 20.00% of 540 points, which calculates to 108 points, and so forth.

This percentage is determined by the following:

1st 100.00% 10th 65.00%
2nd 95.00% 11th 60.00%
3rd 90.00% 12th 55.00%
4th 85.00% 13th 50.00%
5th 80.00% 14th 45.00%
6th 75.00% 15th-18th 35.00%
7th 72.50% 19th-23rd 20.00%
8th 70.00% 24th-30th 10.00%
9th 67.50% 31st+ 5.00%

INDIVIDUAL PLAYER POINTS

The player that has the highest diluted rating percentage designates that player as the overall leader.

RATING

Players are given a percentage based rating by taking the total points earned by a player and dividing by the total of all possible points a player could have earned had they finished 1st in every event they participated in. Rating will be used to determine the overall leader in the series. A player that has the most points does not necessarily designate that player as the overall leader.

DILUTION FACTOR

The dilution factor only effects a player's rating when the total number of tournaments in which a player participates in during the season is less than a predetermined minimum. If it is, then that players rating is diluted according to the following formula: Number of tournaments played, divided by the minimum number of tournaments required, equals the dilution factor. Currently, each player needs to have participated in a minimum of
SIX events in order to avoid a loss of rating.

This system allows for players to miss an event without being negatively impacted as it is unreasonable to expect players to participate in every event.

TOURNAMENT WEIGHTING

For every dollar used in the prize pool, a point will be added. Players compete for these points. Therefore if an event had 26 players in attendance with a $20 buy-in, the base point total would be 520 points which represents a total prize pool of $520. This is how the strength of the tournaments are determined.

CHAMPIONSHIPS

The Championship tournament is INVITATION ONLY (You must qualify). Any person wishing to participate in Championships needs to have finished the series in the top 10 of player rankings. The current reigning champion is automatically invited to defend their title, regardless if that player finished in the top 10 or not. In the event a player that does qualify for Championships and cannot attend, the next player in succession will be invited to fill the 10 player field.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT

Tournaments will be played using a variety of formats and payouts. Formats could include Heads Up, Proportional, Shoot Out and WTA (Winner Take All). Championships will employ a proportional system.
